Retrospect (A

Retrospect is a robust back-testing module for StockVision. It is named
appropriately since it allows you to examine any trading strategy of your
choice in "retrospect," applying intervals as small as five minute bars for
an entire year.
Back testing is performed against a period of time
(that you specificy) during the most recent trading year---up to the most
recent session. Each test consists of a stock group and a strategy. A "stock
group" is a list of one or more stocks (or ETFs), while a "strategy" is a
PowerScan filter (of your choice), and a set of specific entry and exit
conditions. The test is applied across the designated time period and is
performed in the background (hence, you can continue working elsewhere in
StockVision while the back test is running). Upon completion, details of all
simulated "trades" are reported.
Results can not only be examined in
detail, but you can then examine the chart (down to 5-minute intervals) of
the time period for the "trade"---with "buy" and "sell" points clearly
marked for your analysis.
