Quick Reference

To learn how a partuclar element works on the main screen, simply hold the mouse over the area you want to know about. To get more information, click in that same area.

 

 

 

Primary screen, shows stock lists and controls to set your criteria for screening. Public forum, includes live chat and public watch lists posted by users. Trading simulator tab, realtime trades with play money. User preferences, used to set screen name, alert sounds, etc. Market sentiment meter. More 'red' is bearish, more 'green' is bullish. Data is real-time. Market futures, composite index. The futures determine how the market will open. Current index values and Advance/decline line ratio. Data is real time. Up and down volume of the New York Stock Exchange. Data is real time. Use selections in this box to locate very short term (day) trades. List types are enabled based on the time of day (EST). The time is determined by the OracleTrader server, not your local computer. Use the settings in this box to select longer-term trades. Pre-market and after-hours only. Shows stocks that will open lower than their previous close (if Darkside is uncheck), or higher (if Darkside is checked). Sorts stocks by higher-than-normal volume. A larger 'score' is assigned if the high volume is persistent. Stocks that are likely to bounce. They are rated based on recent strength and degree of pullback. List is sorted by overall rating, which is a composite score of key indicators for price and volume action. Sorts stocks by how close they were to their session high at 10AM-eastern. Sorts stocks by how close they are to a session low. Stocks that have shown recent strength rate higher. Stocks that respond favorably to the MACD signal, and appear to show strength in this indicator. Sorts list by stocks that trade best in a range. The idea is to buy low and sell high. Sorts stocks by the strength of breaking out of a range, if any. If 'Darkside' is checked, the list shows breakdowns. When checked, all longer-term lists are sorted by bearish indicators (for going short). When checked, stocks are automatically sorted by rank every few seconds. When checked, stocks are immediately located whose MACD is reversing direction. When checked, stocks are located immediately that are trading at the lower end of their channel. When checked, all lists are scored by negative, or 'bearish' indicators. Used for locating short sells. When checked, the list is automatically sorted by ranking every few seconds. When set to a value other than 'OFF', stocks that suddenly plummet by the percent specified will trigger an alert. When set to a value other than 'OFF', stocks that have a sudden surge in volume and price action will trigger an alert. When clicked, a web page will display that contains detailed information on the currently selected list. The minimum and maximum price you wish to screen. Sets the minimum daily volume to include in every screen. When checked, all stocks (as opposed to Exchange Traded Funds) are shown. When checked, all Exchange Traded Funds are included in the stock list. Main stock list. If 'Autosort' is checked, stocks are automatically sorted by ranking, based on the list type currently selected. Breaks the watch list from the current screen and displays it in a separate window. If non-blank, this symbol is added to the watch list when 'Add Watcher(s)' is clicked. Adds the currently selected stock (or symbol in the edit box) to the watch list below. Removes stock(s) selected in the watchlist below. Adds all selected stocks in the watchlist (below) to the public forum. Removes any watchers selected from the public forum. The watch list. These are either added manually, or added by the system when an alert is triggered. Click this button to change what colors are used in a chart. Click this to forcefully update the stock list if you made changes to the price or volume levels. Show stock chart(s) of all selected stock(s) in the list. Presents current news of the selected stock. Toggles "opt-in" and "opt-out" for alerts. If a stock is selected as "opt-out," it will display in gray text and will not be included in alerts.
