How-to's for OracleTrader

Find stocks to sell short

Make sure the "Dark Side" checkbox is ON. If so, all stocks will be evaluated from negative indicators instead of positive. Note that Day trading and Longer-term each have their own "Dark Side" checkboxes.

Do a "reverse" Trap Door (find stocks that spike UP).

Use the Trap Door alert as usual, except turn on Dark Side.

Locate a ticker symbol

(1) Turn off "Autosort," (2) Sort the list by clicking in the Symbol heading. If you keep clicking, the list will toggle between an ascending and descending sort, (3) Scroll to the symbol of interest. Note that you turn off Autosort only to prevent the list from re-sorting every few seconds.

Post a stock to the public watch list (in the Forumn).

First, any stock you add to the public forum has to be in your own watch list (in the main window). Using that list, click on the one you want to add to the forumn, then click Add To Public Forum. It will prompt you to enter comments, indicate long or short, etc.

Edit or add to information in a public watcher that I already entered.

Find the stock you posted in your own watch list (in the main window). Click it, then click Add to Public Forum. If the stock has already been added, the prompt will allow you to edit the information and post the change(s).

Stop the chat from beeping at me when people post chats.

Click the Preferences tab. From that screen, you can control all the sound alerts, including turning them off completely.

Keep alerts in the watch list longer.

Click Preferences tab. From that screen, you can control how long alerts will remain in your watch list.

Exclude certain stocks from all alerts.

Click on the stock you no longer wish to be alerted, then click the "Mask" button. Once masked, it will no longer be considered for alerts.
