nester [7:31]: NEW YORK (AP) -- Stock futures dipped Thursday as investors pause after a big two-day rally to prepare for key reports on the jobs market and retail sales.
High unemployment and slow growth in consumer spending have been the biggest impediments to a strong, sustained recovery. So Thursday's weekly government report on initial jobless claims and retailers' reports on monthly sales will be closely watched to see if recent trends reverse.
Disappointing jobs reports have been piling up and helped drive stocks lower in recent weeks. Continued high unemployment has dragged down consumer confidence, which in turn has slowed spending. Consumer spending accounts for the bulk of economic activity. Without a rebound in jobs and sales, the economy is likely to continue to post only modest growth.

After a surprisingly solid start to the year, overall spending also has slowed in recent months, and analysts are concerned that shoppers will remain tightfisted through the crucial holiday season.

Non-revolving debt such as auto loans, personal loans and student loans, fell $1.82 billion or 1.4%. It has the best symbols for options, including ETFs. List is www.garsworld.com/options.txt (by the way, you should have attended the webinar, this was all covered).

I have been trading for 20+ years. (Not bragging I suck at it)Those traders don't get to me but you must protect the sheep from them and if you let it continue SV will not be a special place anymore. If I'm a part of it I will not tolerate farce trade calls anymore and will make comments and if I'm banned so be it I will go out with honesty strapped around my belt. I am not here to mislead or brag about my trades. I am not even here to post my trades as your friend said I should but when I used to I posted my losses and I had many. Its not about us its about the new users and certain traders could care less about them. I said many months ago SV will succeed only if you take care of customers #1 priority. So if theres a 5 Star Member he will have proved that he had some good trades in the past, where other people gave him credit for it. Could be maby a solution to protect the Sheep from pumpers...
