nester [7:33]: ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- Tens of thousands of outraged Greeks took to the streets Wednesday to protest harsh new spending cuts aimed at saving their country from bankruptcy, as workers walked off the job in a 24-hour nationwide general strike.

Clashes broke out the northern city of Thessaloniki and in the capital, where demonstrators chanting "thieves, thieves" attempted to break through a riot police cordon guarding Parliament and chased the ceremonial guards away from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the building. Police responded with volleys of tear gas and stun grenades.

nester [7:33]: NEW YORK (AP) -- Stock futures dipped Wednesday, a day after major indexes posted their biggest losses in months.

European markets were mixed as investors remain cautious about whether a $144 billion aid package for Greece will help stem the growing debt crisis. German Chancellor Angela Merkel asked her country's lawmakers to rush the approval of Germany's $29.3 billion share of the Greek rescue program.

nester [7:34]: LONDON (AP) -- World markets continued to fall Wednesday, particularly in Asia, as investors worried that Europe's debt crisis would spread, as Greece braced itself for another wave of strikes.

In Europe, the FTSE 100 index of leading British shares was down 13.04 points, or 0.3 percent, at 5,397.14 while Germany's DAX fell 7.95 points, or 0.1 percent, at 5,998.91. The CAC-40 in France was 2.02 points, or 0.1 percent, lower at 3,687.27.

Earlier in Asia, a number of markets slid as investors responded to the sharp declines recorded Tuesdsay in Europe and the U.S. -- Hong Kong's Hang Seng index closed 435.51 points, or 2.1 percent, lower at 20,327.54.

nester [7:34]: SINGAPORE (AP) -- Oil prices fell to near $82 a barrel Wednesday in Asia after a report showed U.S. crude supplies rose more than expected last week.

Benchmark crude for June delivery was down 52 cents to $82.22 a barrel at late afternoon Singapore time in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

The June contract fell $3.45, or 4 percent, to settle at $82.74 on Tuesday on investor fears a $144 billion bailout for Greece won't keep the debt crisis from spreading to other European countries.

nester [7:34]: WASHINGTON (AP) -- A tentative agreement in hand, Democrats and Republicans still face an array of hurdles and uncertain timing over a Senate bill that would rein in financial institutions.

While Democrats agreed to jettison a $50 billion fund to liquidate large, failing firms, disputes over consumer protections, Federal Reserve oversight and regulation of complex securities are for the moment beyond compromise. Democrats and Republicans were preparing to fight those issues out on the Senate floor.

jim [8:24]: Piper Jaffray downgrades Myriad Genetics (Nasdaq: MYGN) from Overweight to Neutral. Price target lowered from $41 to $18. Piper analyst says, "Management lowered F2010 expectations and now anticipates revenue in the $360M-$365M range (was $381.5) and EPS of $1,30-$1.35 (was $1.50). We would note a 4Q10 tax adjustment accounts for $0.03-$0.05 of the EPS cut. MYGN shares traded down to $18.67 after hours and given the uncertainty on when Myriad's lab testing trends will improve, we anticipate limited near-term share price appreciation from these levels. Thus, we are downgrading the stock to Neutral." To see all the upgrades/downgrades on shares of MYGN, visit our Analyst Ratings page. jaws [9:10]: Wed May 5 09:05:00 EDT 2010 | Briefing.com
S&P futures vs fair value: -9.20. Nasdaq futures vs fair value: -18.30. U.S. equity futures remain relatively weak, but markets in Europe aren’t in much better shape as Germany’s DAX drops to a 0.7% loss amid widespread weakness. Deutsche Bank (DB) is the heaviest drag on the broader bourse at the moment. Shares of DB are down nearly 3% to trade below their 200-day average on the DAX. In France, the CAC is off by 1.3%. GDF Suez has led declining issues to a near 6-to-1 edge over advancers. Britain’s FTSE has fallen to a 1.0% loss. Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A) is currently one of the weakest names, but BP Plc (BP) has shown strength. However, credit analysts at Moody’s recently revised their outlook on BP’s ratings to negative. Credit analysts at Moody's also put Portugal's Aa2 ratings on review for possible downgrade. Yields on Portugal’s debt had already climbed ahead of the announcement as global participants remain concerned about the fiscal health of many European countries. Such concerns have also taken the euro below the 1.3 level against the U.S. dollar for the first time in one year. In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei remains closed, but Hong Kong’s Hang Seng sank 2.1% as 41 of its 43 components retreated into the red. HSBC (HBC) was among the heaviest drags, due to the stock’s weight in the market and its near 2% loss. Hong Kong Electric and CLP Holdings were the only two names to stage gains. Mainland China’s Shanghai Composite staged a 0.8% gain as Air China led advancing issues to a near 8-to-1 advantage over decliners

I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later. The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt'. So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me' and she processed my Social Security application. When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office..She said, 'You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability, too.'

jim [11:31]: Nberman details on pricing?

karenbcz [11:31]: Okay ... I'll go to the seminar ... maybe someone can answer my question.

Andrew [11:32]: There's a downward sloping trendline from yesterday on SPY serving as resistance... connect the highs of the candles from 10:25-10:30am yesterday and 3:55-4:00pm yesterday. We've sold down from the same line twice now today.

nberman [11:32]: SF does do live sorts, actually, it screens on the fly. You take a watchlist (all stocks, or something smaller) and then you use various filters to have it show which ones are currently meeting whatever you've specified. Take a list of stocks that I prefer, over $5.00 and over 500,000 daily volume and make a list. Then, say, have it find those (using GAR's MACD method as an example) that have just finished (as of yesterday's close) the second up day crossing the zero line on MACD and, say, are at a five day high on volume. All day long it will sit there showing you which stocks are meeting those criteria. (Obviously, you can make all kinds of screens and filters.)

karenbcz [11:33]: JIM: I briefly had a sub to stockfinder, but everytime I call support, no one knew how to do the sorts. It was very annoying.

jim [11:34]: how does the pricing work?

nberman [11:34]: Worden pricing is pretty cheap. I think for end of day TC2000 it's $250 a year or something, and for platinum, the real time, it's like $1,200 a year (I'm not sure, but it's easy enough at www.worden.com) and you can subscribe monthly, or there are deals for annually and two years. Then, they throw in Stockfinder for next to nothing on top of that (like $100 more a year or something relatively nominal.)

djalecc [11:36]: pah! google down! :-/

ortrade [11:36]: AMMD keeps going up..

nberman [11:37]: Actually, when I look at the worden site, the end of day for both Telechart and StockFinder is $30.00 and $40 a month, respectively. The real time for both is $100 a month, $1,000 a year and $1,800 for two years.

123 [15:05]: Gar what does "roll over" mean as a choice on selling an option you own?

Gar [15:05]: 123, I think it simply means you buy the new options for the next expiration.

Gar [15:06]: I am not entirely sure but that's what I think it means. Fancy term for buying again.

123 [15:06]: do you get it at current value of your option?

karenbcz [15:07]: Ugh! Shudda stayed in BPOP @ 3.65. :>(

madriver [15:07]: Gar...the lists are real time right??? I know you've probably answered that a million times but...

123 [15:08]: Gar I made my first real option buy puts on erx...I messed up the order and sell but made $160.00 if I would still have it I would be up over $600.00

123 [15:11]: I bought at wrong strike price by mistake...out of money...43.80 puts wanted 44.80 puts bought at 2.70 2 days ago and ask is 5.70 now

madriver [15:12]: 123 atleast you learned something without losing your dough

Gar [15:12]: madriver, the lists are generated from realtime data. However, the "price" column is the average price between today's high and low. That's usually why people think the data is "delayed." It is not.

123 [15:12]: I made money not lost...but could have had bigger gains.

carr [15:12]: Hey I would be happy if a mistake made me $160 they usually cost me a lot.

madriver [15:12]: thx

nberman [15:13]: But Gar, the indices at the top of the page are delayed, aren't they?

Gar [15:13]: 123, that's awesome, even with errors. Keep in mind that "...I would have had..." has been true for me like 100% of the time with options, even when I do exactly what I planned. I can't tell you how many times I would make, say, $150 on the trade, only to watch it balloon to $900 had I stayed in...lol.

karenbcz [15:14]: THAT happens to me all the time ... i.e., NFLX

Gar [15:14]: No, the indices on the top are basically realtime. OK, they might be "delayed" 30 seconds sometimes, depending on how heavy the server hits are.

carr [15:14]: nberman I don't think so my live data feed matches perfectly unless that is a coincidenc

nberman [15:14]: well, I've to tradestation, interactive brokers and thinkorswim going here and I've notice that you're running, I think, like 15 minutes behind on the indices.

Gar [15:15]: Everything you see in this program is generated from real time. There are a few places where the data is intentionally witheld since we can't show real time quotes per se. For example, the papertrader portfolio is slightly delayed, even though the "trades" execute in real time.

madriver [15:15]: nberman I sure looks realtime to me??

123 [15:15]: I could have bought the same options at 4.70 today and been up 1. now too....could have would have should have lol

madriver [15:15]: it....just comparing to yahoo

nberman [15:15]: tos is 1164.80 now

carr [15:15]: I have esignal and they match up perfectly

nberman [15:15]: sv is 1163.88

nberman [15:16]: I've been watching this for awhile. Esignal realtime, though, is the real stuff, too, so if it matches, I can't explain.

Gar [15:16]: nberman, the S&P might be off, because that is what we get from our datafeed for some reason. I have noticed that too. But the Dow and NAS track really closely.

madriver [15:16]: carr........do you think esignal helps you be alot more profitable??

nberman [15:17]: I'm seeing a 7 point difference on the Dow (obviously it varies depending upon volatility)

Gar [15:17]: From our feed, I noticed the S&P only updates like once every minute or so. Do not know why. But I can assure you none of this is "delayed".

LEECO [15:18]: DJI is right now -80.34

knight [15:18]: add peix 1,14

carr [15:18]: madriver, yes because I like their ability to incorporate 3rd party apps as well as the Elliott version on advance get I do hate their screener for which they charge a fortune

Gar [15:18]: Well it is perhaps delayed by 10-20 seconds, because of the time it takes for each SV program to retrieve it.

nberman [15:18]: I have the same as you, LEECO

nberman [15:18]: Gar, I don't think so, at least not from what I've seen.

carr [15:18]: I also like the fact that I can trade directly of esignal with my broker

Gar [15:19]: The upcoming SV version will have about every screener you want, in real time.

nester [15:19]: PCBC 2.18

nberman [15:19]: I will say tthat the stocks, though the real time price isn't shown, usually has a good % time, synched with the real time feeds. It's only the indices I've noticed are off, and by quite a bit.

madriver [15:19]: carr...that is nice....I want to get a similiar setup

carr [15:19]: Gar the current version has plenty and I have yet to find a better screener after years of trying.

knight [15:20]: faz 12,90 short

madriver [15:20]: I love it Gar

madriver [15:20]: when is the "new version"

Gar [15:20]: nberman, I know how the system works, I built it. There is no INTENDED delay. Any delays that you see are either because of the lag from our server to SV, or it is the way we are getting it from our own feed. I don't know what else to say.

Gar [15:22]: New version? I don't know exactly. I am burried in projects over here.

nberman [15:22]: Well, who would intend a delay. The stuff you've got here is just being fed through (I imagine.) All I'm saying is that I'm observing a lag in the indices' print, though not with the actual securities' prints.

Sandman [15:22]: You explained it you don't have to say anything else.

madriver [15:22]: maybe it's your internet connection nberman

Gar [15:22]: That could be true about the indices. I think that is an issue with the datafeed service.

Gar [15:23]: Going to improve the speed a bit in the new version. The whole data mechanism is being revamped.

madriver [15:23]: are you using dialup?

knight [15:23]: RDN 11,35

nberman [15:23]: But if you match up the % change for the day on the issues in the "stock" tab, it's correct to the second decimal real time.

madriver [15:24]: now you are being ridiculous

rw [15:24]: GAR's BOOK: I have bought it and read it.....It has all the information that you would have to be here the last two years to obtain....GREAT value. I suggest everyone buy it

Gar [15:25]: OK, back to the market. If they jam this thing way way off the low, we are likely to have a major bloodbath tomorrow.

carr [15:25]: Good point rw I bought it last week, and just love it. Learned a lot even though I trade for a living.

knight [15:26]: take profit pcbc 1,7 to 2,25 part 4

Gar [15:26]: Because with this heavy downtrending this week, people are going to see a "selling opportunity" if we spike high.

Iswing64 [15:26]: Out FAZ @ 12.80

carr [15:26]: ITMN is making a nice come back

123 [15:26]: Gars book allready paid for itself many times over.

Sandman [15:27]: Well you guys are ahead of me. I deposited my check today so in three days I'll buy the book.

knight [15:27]: add more FBP 1,92

Gar [15:27]: Thanks guys. I wish the whole world realized what you are saying, because if they did, I could retire from my other jobs and do this full time.

madriver [15:27]: Gar so you are assuming that a pile of people got caught in downtrend and will sell at the earliest upside?

rw [15:28]: Tried to post on AMAZON but it would not take it as I have not bought anyting there lately

madriver [15:28]: Knight must make a fortune....the guy is unstoppable....and methodical

123 [15:28]: Gar any luck selling on amazon?

carr [15:28]: Sandman good investment if you are new to trading or very expericed.

Gar [15:28]: madriver, absolutely. Any rally will be seller's bait. The mindset has changed, I can feel it.

rw [15:28]: be sure and post on Amazon if youu have read gar book and have boughgt from amazon lately

rw [15:28]: book on amazon........

madriver [15:29]: THX

rw [15:29]: Yes - rarely does KNIGHT have a loss.

karenbcz [15:29]: I think Direxion and Proshares splitting their bull ETFs and Reverse splitting their bear ETFs coincides with market movement ... (conspiracy theory)

Gar [15:29]: Amazon kindle has sold a whopping two. And they keep 65%. It's kind of a ripoff (for me).

Gar [15:29]: But, the paperback will be available soon. That will probably do better.

karenbcz [15:30]: GAR: isn't it cheaper to sell on IFON?

rw [15:30]: some of you that bought book thru stockvision - should go to amazon and post a review ---but you have to be a recent amazon customer to do that

carr [15:30]: good point rw, I bought it direct thinking it would be more profitable for Gar, but the amazon leverage probably would have been a better choice. Maybe I will just buy it again on amazon

knight [15:30]: time is money folks...

karenbcz [15:30]: or appl?

madriver [15:30]: you are right knight.....get to business

knight [15:30]: seed show me a good turning point today

rw [15:30]: you have to buy any book from amazon ---not necessairly gar book just a book then you can post a review of gasr book

karenbcz [15:31]: Okay Knight. I'm waiting for FBP to go OVER $2.10.

Gar [15:31]: carr, actually it's the opposite. I get almost nothing from Amazon.

karenbcz [15:31]: I never sold my shares this moring.

knight [15:31]: it's show strenght in this volatile market

Gar [15:31]: Also the Amazon version is only for Kindle. It is wothless if you don't have a Kindle.

123 [15:32]: Why does amazon get such a huge cut,,,,do they promote you or anything for the big cut?

madriver [15:32]: Knight did you buy Gar's book?

Gar [15:32]: Actually, high volatility equals WEAKNESS. It always does. That's one thing that new traders don't understand. A wildly volatile market will inevitably move DOWN.

Sandman [15:32]: What's a Kindle?

karenbcz [15:32]: Mad: I think Knight wrote a book already.

knight [15:33]: i did 2 trade with FBP, 4 trades with pcbc --- what about if scotia buy FBP ?????

madriver [15:33]: i was looking for his endorsement

karenbcz [15:33]: Knight ... IF Scotia buys FBP, I'm looking for $5.oo!!!! BIGTIME!!

knight [15:34]: look at peix , will jump

karenbcz [15:34]: Knight: Also have PEIX ... I hope so ... I'm DYING to get OUT of it.

Gar [15:34]: I would be very cautious about longs at this stage. I sense they will hammer the market down senseless this time.

carr [15:34]: PEIX is doing very well today espeically considering almost everything else is down

knight [15:34]: i don't think 5 because scotia want to have this bank for peanuts....

rw [15:34]: I think some here bought PEIX at over two dollars -- but did not take profits

karenbcz [15:35]: I NEED another 0.20 cents on PEIX to make any money.

madriver [15:35]: FBP I think close to five because the market will over react as usual

carr [15:35]: My average for PEIX is 1.46, but I am looking at $2+ before I exit

karenbcz [15:36]: What does this tell you?

karenbcz [15:36]: http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=$NYSI&p=D&yr=0&mn=6&dy=0&id=p67621060186

Gar [15:36]: Wow...maybe we are setting up for a nice lunar bounce play.

Iswing64 [15:37]: FAZ @ 12.89

Gar [15:37]: Remember, we need to close at or near the day's low for a good lunar.

karenbcz [15:37]: KNIGHT: IF Scotia buys FBP - what r U looking for ?

knight [15:38]: Peix is a investment for long , long term because now they got the right business model with now profit ahead of 2010 --- and ethanol is more popular

Hank [15:39]: PEIX is in Bearish Phase, and the sellers have entered the market and pushing the price down. Support is 1.06 and resistance is 1.16. Possible run to 1.44 but still bearish . Short at 1.44

knight [15:39]: i think peix will go 20-40 $ range again in 2 years

karenbcz [15:39]: Great! Another DNDN!

karenbcz [15:39]: LOL!

Gar [15:40]: Dow needs to close -110 or worse for the lunar play to be on.

karenbcz [15:40]: I remember when I hada 1,000 shrs of DNDN @ $5.oo. NOW look at it!

knight [15:42]: all the bad news are behind Peix , and now they do profit - let see the next quarter and it's should start to climb - look at ADM

karenbcz [15:43]: KNIGHT: only problem w/ FBP .. "buy the rumor, sell the news" ... the "rumor" is already out. We saw $2.15. THAT might've been "the rally".

Gar [15:43]: Crude oil fell below $80. Real question is why was it so far above $80 in the first place.

madriver [15:43]: what the heck is that bar on bzh

knight [15:44]: FBP try to get 500 Million finance , if they fail Scotia grade FBP for peanuts then FBP might double at this moment - will remove fear and dilution over FBP

Gar [15:45]: I am starting to think lunar short now. Like I said, if they jam this higher into the close, tomorrow could be major downside.

madriver [15:45]: keep an eye on that one

moby [15:47]: options paperback out soon? where do we buy that? I will buy that too

Hank [15:48]: FBP & Scotia has possibilites , but the price will favour one side, 10-1 reverse split, then up the price and make it fall like ANX.

Gar [15:49]: The paperback will be available once I can find the time to complete the PDF master file for submission. It will be at a web site called lulu press.

madriver [15:49]: 10-1 reverse...it that the plan?

moby [15:50]: I see, okay, I guess that is you goal, to finish that first to get the book out of your way before you start working on the Powerscan version?

knight [15:50]: not 10-1 reverse - it's a take over -- not the same

moby [15:50]: your*

Andrew [15:50]: I'm a little surprised the sellers were able to get back control today after the huge buying volume the first couple of hours.

Hank [15:51]: madriver Id be watching my pockets on FBP next while.,

karenbcz [15:51]: Knight is correct ... TAKEOVER ... the co. being "takenover" will go UP.

madriver [15:51]: i believe hank

karenbcz [15:51]: But as I said, .... rumor is already out. So, Knight .. I'm expecting much.

knight [15:52]: scotia want to grab FBP - they already have 10 % of the float

madriver [15:52]: and you'll get little

karenbcz [15:52]: typo .... meant NOT expecting much.

karenbcz [15:52]: Knight ... Yes. I read the article.

LEECO [15:53]: Now -

madriver [15:53]: don't mess with knight!!

Hank [15:53]: Each to their own,

knight [15:54]: what's means ma driver ?????

Hank [15:54]: I dont pump period

madriver [15:54]: did you ever hear of madriver canoes, kayaks etc?

karenbcz [15:54]: Hank: I agree. to each their own. We all have OPINIONS. That's why we're here.

karenbcz [15:55]: no

madriver [15:55]: knight was asking me

knight [15:55]: no , i heard abour MACKIVER - a super hereo

knight [15:55]: in a TV show

Gar [15:56]: ENZN -- lunar short -- paper.

Hank [15:56]: Allways same people pumping , stock, so I stay away from the pumpers,

madriver [15:56]: no it's just the name of canoe I have ...

knight [15:56]: ah ok , you do outdoor sport ????

karenbcz [15:56]: DOW has 2 minutes to close UP!

madriver [15:56]: they make good ones so you probably never heard of it unless you're into it

Gar [15:57]: They are foolishly spiking the market up in teh final minutes. Watch for major downside tomorrow. Maybe not in the AM but later.

karenbcz [15:57]: FBp is tanking.

moby [15:57]: Hank you keep doing what you are doing, you are one of the main posters I watch, you post what you are doing, symbol and price....perfect

madriver [15:58]: yeah all types of stuff. Used to be a semi or good cat II bicycle racer but I do kayaking, whatever...i like outside

madriver [15:58]: it's like semi pro or Triple AAA baseball as far as comparison

madriver [15:59]: then I got hit by a car and the rest is history...but I still ride some

madriver [15:59]: knight..you do outdoor...

madriver [16:00]: lunar is gone

Gar [16:01]: Lunar short was possible. They have no business jamming it up like this. If they only knew what they were doing...I am 90% sure tomorrow will be major red.

knight [16:01]: yes the most important is to stay healhtfy

knight [16:02]: ASK »LEECO ???

madriver [16:02]: I hear you.......

madriver [16:03]: Leeco a bodybuilder?

knight [16:03]: money is only a tool

knight [16:03]: leeco has 90 years old

madriver [16:04]: wow....that is very impressive...

knight [16:04]: are u here leeco ??

madriver [16:04]: he fell asleep.lol

madriver [16:05]: in his chair....kidding

moby [16:05]: 90, wow....who else here is over 70?

madriver [16:05]: who's under 50?

knight [16:05]: and he was a successful business man with his engineer firm - playing the market for fun

Sandman [16:05]: I feel like a kid 67.

madriver [16:06]: keeping his mind sharp I'm sure

knight [16:06]: me i look like a child

knight [16:06]: 46

madriver [16:06]: how old are you knight?

madriver [16:07]: okay ...you're a little older than me but not by much

Sandman [16:07]: knight you must be the baby here.

knight [16:07]: how about you ?

Gar [16:07]: I wonder who the youngest here is?

madriver [16:07]: 43

Sandman [16:07]: madriver is the baby

Gar [16:07]: Maybe Andrew.

knight [16:07]: may be you GAr

LEECO [16:08]: knight-I'm here-just bwent off to straighten out a few small items pon the computer

Gar [16:08]: No knight. I am pressing 60.

madriver [16:09]: I bet there is no one under 30? Just a guess. Maybe even under 40

moby [16:09]: so the avg age here is 60, given the small sample

Andrew [16:09]: 26

knight [16:09]: wow i was thinking you were younger to make computer program...

madriver [16:09]: andrew drops the average

moby [16:09]: leeco raises it

Sandman [16:09]: My buddy Andrew is the baby.

Gar [16:09]: See, I told you maybe Andrew.

madriver [16:10]: yeah I bet he is

moby [16:10]: toss both out avg is 60

LEECO [16:10]: knight-you don't have to be young for brain power, intelligence or reasoning power-it is available at all ages-when Iwas 21cI was doing stress analysis on warplanes

madriver [16:10]: He wins the award but I bet you're about moby and why I say that is when I go to AAII meeting on ocassion I am the youngest by far it seems

madriver [16:11]: right moby

karenbcz [16:11]: THis guy says market ready to CRATER.

karenbcz [16:11]: http://broadcast.ino.com/education/dow54aff/%20?campaignid=3

madriver [16:12]: is Peter Schiff or some other idiot like him

Joe47121 [16:12]: GAR - check this link out it is for google ebooks just like Amazon http://www.brighthand.com/default.asp?newsID=16498&news=Google+Editions+ebooks+electronic+books+eReader

karenbcz [16:13]: DOW going down another 50 pts. from here.

Gar [16:13]: karen I am saying the same thing. I think today's end-of-day run up was really stupid. Tomorrow and maybe Monday I expect massive downside.

Gar [16:13]: Hey thanks joe, I will look at it.

karenbcz [16:13]: GAR: yep ... I'm gonna buy an inverse ETF afterhours.

karenbcz [16:15]: Ya' know ... I'm TELLING you there is a direct correlation between Direxion and Proshares splitting their bull ETFs, and Reverse splitting the bear ETFS and the market.

Gar [16:15]: That's probably a good move karen. Just remember that the market could spike UP in the AM but if I am reading the signs right, it will be to no avail and even stupid.

Joe47121 [16:16]: Gar - I've been trying to tweek a SV screen filter for the MACD daily Histogram but so far have no luck. Do you have any idea how to set this up? Thanks in advance

LEECO [16:18]: Nite all-going out in the garden and plant some corn, tomatoes & Jalopena peppers-back here early tomorrow

moby [16:18]: Joe: soon you'll be able to tweak to mosy any setting you want for MACd, or any other indicator

karenbcz [16:18]: Looking at the ETFs, they're all RIP-OFFS.

moby [16:18]: most*

moby [16:18]: powerscan version is coming

karenbcz [16:18]: LEECO: I had tomato sandwich for lunch.

Joe47121 [16:18]: okay will wait... thanks moby

Andrew [16:19]: The triples seem to best be used just for day trading or short term swing trades when there is a strong consistent trend.

Sandman [16:19]: Joe47121 Hi, did you try screen selection MACD crossing up?

carr [16:19]: karen, were those tomatoes fresh from the garden or store bought?

sshroff100 [16:20]: any more traning document? how to refer?

Andrew [16:20]: Letting those triples go against you at all, even just a little bit can be extremely dangerous. I'd much rather exit for a small loss and then get back in later (at a worse price) if it turned out I was right.

moby [16:21]: sshroff: http://www.stockvision.proboards.com/

karenbcz [16:21]: CARR; store ... I may try to grow tomatoes again this year. Last year, all mine died.

sshroff100 [16:22]: moby thank you

carr [16:22]: well karen I hope at least they were organic. I too had bad luck with tomatoes last year.

Joe47121 [16:22]: Sandman yes I did. but I think I need a extra selection along with it.

karenbcz [16:23]: CARR: No one in my neighborhood grew good tomatoes last year.

Gar [16:23]: Joe, the closest thing in this version is the MACD Curve (up or down). It is actually computed from the MACD historgram. So for curve UP that means the histogram is moving up, and reverse for down. That is the closest thing we have until the new version.

carr [16:23]: sshroff, you could also buy Gars book which is a great value, and will stay with you for as long as you trade.

karenbcz [16:23]: But, I'm growing excellent BASIL.

carr [16:23]: Karen I find herbs much easier to grow than tomatoes

madriver [16:23]: how about melons?

Gar [16:24]: I gotta head out. Good to be here for longer than 13 minutes..lol.

Joe47121 [16:24]: thanks GAR...

carr [16:24]: take care Gar

karenbcz [16:25]: TZA is a rip-off

karenbcz [16:25]: There are no cheap ETFs.

karenbcz [16:25]: Proshares R/S split all the bear ETFs so they can make more money.

carr [16:25]: good night Andrew, Ernie, karen, knight, LEECO, madriver, ortrade, Sandman and all

karenbcz [16:25]: 2 wks. ago FXP was only $7. Now it's $44!

madriver [16:26]: night carr....

karenbcz [16:26]: Proshares = scumbags.

moby [16:26]: Joe: the MACD Curve up will be the quicker setting, and the MACD Crossover is a step or 2 behind

moby [16:27]: Joe: what settings do you input when you customize your own charts?

madriver [16:28]: later....enjoy your evening folks

Joe47121 [16:34]: Moby I was using MACD crossup and oversold

rw [21:07]: yrdy
